  added later: the man on the phone I've had to speak to every time is very, VERY rude. Rude when I called two months ago and was still incredibly rude today. Debating whether I should leave this with one star or be generous with two stars.The process for SSI is already a long one while you are waiting to get approved, AFTER you've gathered everything you need for it (and then some). I called my agent three times (their personal extension), and got no answer, so I called the main number and was greeted by a rude man. I asked him if there was anyone I could possibly work with other than the person I was given, since she was going to be gone the remainder of the month, and he would sign occasionally in between gathering my information and said that my agent was in fact, at work...so, I asked if I could be transferred to her and I got an "I guess so." Now, after finally getting ahold of who I was trying to reach in the first place, I was able to get a phone appointment squeezed in right before her long absence, which is great. BUT NOW, I have t fax over my pay stubs and again, no answer after FOUR attempts, I called again and got an alternative fax number to use, and SURPRISE! NO ANSWER! It's a Monday, beginning of the work week, you'd think such an important establishment would be running WAY better.

  Just got off phone with them, the guy I talked to was very rude and not helpful at all. Thanks for nothing jerk.
